Prime day? (Page 1/2)

What did you order on Prime day this year? Were you planning on ordering it or was it a too great value you couldn't pass up?
To me it seems that the deals that Amazon once had have dried up, even for this event they marked up their standard price to apply a discount to come at their normal transaction pricing.

I am not an Amazon subscriber, I will order from them on occasion but they are not vendor of first choice. I did not order anything from them this year for Prime day. .

I looked for ~ 10 pages each day but most items look like "Clearance" to dump crap and other leftovers.
Even when you click a sub section like Computers, no real deals there.
About the same for most "Black Friday" scams that say x% off a fake MSRP but barely if any below the "street price" at any other time.

Next "amazon thing" I plan is buy another switch for old B&D 120vac E-mowers cost < $15. The switch burns out after a few years. Likely the yard is bigger then what B&D made them for so switch gets hammered every week. Could likely make/add a "snubber" etc to help but haven't bother in 20+ years of using these. The switch control power to the motor but also shorts out the motor as a brake to stop the blade in milliseconds. (Often Faster the blade brakes on gas mowers w/o wearing out pads and flywheel.)

Someone died in New Jersey. They aren't releasing details which is total horseshit.

We ordered a large TV. It was a bit more than half its original price, and we had been watching for a while.

Ya gotta watch it with Amazon too. I am putting together an order and thought I'd toss cat litter on it just to save me hauling a 20-pound box.

Yeh, right. I pay 8 bucks at Walmart, even with Prime, Amazon wants $23 for the exact same thing.

No thanks, 20 pounds aint that much to move.

They don't want to sell litter and feed from their warehouses. It's a nightmare to deal with and I don't think all the FC house it.

No one cares someone died and Amazon didn't say a damn thing. They're not releasing details. The story didn't break until 1 week after the person died..
