Moissanite is a lab created real diamond (not cubic zirconia), Moissanite will actually show up as a real diamond under a diamnd tester (cubic zirconia wont). IMO, Diamonds are such a waste of money. Buy some cool stuff that you can use a buncha times or go on a few vacations or something. you can get some beautiful "non-diamond wedding rings" for a reasonable price.

Sorry, I just know a few people (dopes?) that bought a crazy ring instead of an awesome weeklong (or longer) trip. They'll be worm food in 75 years or so anyway.

I never read anything about diamonds and not think of this song from my teen years when I was chasing a young lady that was far from my social/financial arena.

Moissanite is actually superior than diamonds in many ways. In fact, they aren't just used in jewelry, but industry as well. They make large moissanite drill bits and impact punches now, because you can make them very large and in any size you want. It is extremely rare to find very large natural diamonds to be used for industrial purposes.


Although cheaper than diamonds, it is now much cheaper, because the original patent for it expired back a few years ago, so now anyone can get into the Moissanite game.


But the De Beers family doesn't like it and actively campaign to make them look bad by saying they have no resell value, have no grade standard and even forbid jewelers in their network to buy and use moissanite.
