SuperAntiSpyware... and it's best to install (and update) these utilities before your computer becomes infected.

HI all
Thanx Patrick! You hit the nail, wanting to add them after being infected. After installing I was going to shut off my internet access. How much harder is taking them out after their gone?
Thanx all,
Ear-ick

honestly all you need nowadays is windows defender(its not the joke it used to be) and common sense. mcaffee, avast, theyre all pretty much just bloat that won't do you any good.
EDIT: i mean for preventing infection. its served me a-okay for years.[This message has been edited by A_Lonely_Potato (edited 09-01-2022).]

In a previous life, I used to build (and service when required) my video editing students' computers. This was back in the era of Windows XP. Occasionally I would be asked to try and eliminate a viruses/malware infection. Depending on what the infection was, sometimes Windows would be so corrupted that a clean install was the only viable solution.
You might find it easier to simply do a Windows Restore to a time before your computer was infected.

Hitman pro always worked for me.
It is not free ($25) but they do have a 30 day free trial.
