They were talking about her, earlier, on the radio. When she became queen, Josef Stalin was ruling Russia, and Harry Truman was our president. Hell of a run.

With the greatest of respect, as an American, I can't really care too much. A fellow human has shuffled off this mortal coil, yes, that's sad.
But she was a monarch of a country I bear no allegiance too. (I'm half Irish, so I suppose I'm required to hate all English. I can't even work up a dislike.)
How much influence did she really have on British foreign and domestic policy?

I can see the respectful and caring Biden speech now: "Liz, she was a great old workhorse".

I think it is incredible to remember how long she has been queen. In fact she has reigned as Queen 👑 for 30% of the entire history of the USA as a country.
She appeared benevolent and respected by all. RIP Queen Elizabeth ll.

Once upon a time, there lived a King who was 12 inches tall
He was a terrible King, but a great ruler

Well said. I was born in Ruislip England, an area in the London Borough of Hillingdon in west London. An Air Force military brat.
I never did care about England's royalty. I am amazed how much America feins and fawns over royal marriages and birth of royalty.
