have you heard about this?

They cancelled the season of collecting those yummy seabugs cuz'

supposedly,

90% of them are gone* from last year
(1 BILLION crabs)

*They might still exist, but have moved north due to the change of climate (AKA "LEGIT" climate change)

I am not aware of the "ins and outs" of Crab harvesting and such, but those numbers don't sound too good. I know in some places, they make a very conscious effort to maintain polulations of the yummy critters... like crawdads...

At home, we keep our fish at a certain degree range so most of the offspring are males. Those Females pop out babies every month....

Seemingly minor changes can cause dramatic declines in certain species.

Wish this stuff didn't turn sopolitical and toxic.

At least they cancelled the season.

Almost certainly over-fished by countries that don't follow the same rules. The REAL bummer is the king crab season is also cancelled for the SECOND season in a row. Prices were already ridiculous, now to be even more outrageous. Those suckers are by far the tastiest. The fishermen are also losing huge money, some live all year on the money they make just on that season.
