Kari Lake is the Republican candidate for Arizona governor, but this isn't political. (Page 1/1)

"Any thoughts before you reveal what's here?"

Yeah, I think you are trying to equate her upraised right arm with an abhorrent, obscure cult. You are doing this because she is conservative and she is endorsed by Trump.

Now for my thoughts which are based on reason. I am voting for Kari Lake because she is conservative and she is endorsed by Trump.

Oh, and Tulsi Gabbard is in town today to stump for our next governor.

Oh, and one more thought. This thread is most certainly political. I will now read your hidden text.

OK, now that I have read your hidden text, I am reminded of the movie: "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues"

I know the topic isn't about Gabbard, but shes joined the plethora of political personalities of youtube and podcasts universe now, so i wanted to focus on those types of people since shes endorsing a candidate.

Without getting into political sides here (because face it, both parties are toxic garbage these days) What is special about Gabbard? She's basically just a grifter at this point in her career. She failed at being a democrat, cause lets face it, she never really was one based on her policies. So that party rejected her, so no money for her there. So switch to the other party, and now all she does is run the conservative news and podcast circuits, likely getting a nice check for each one. No doubt leaving one party for another got her some short term attention and probably helped boost her own podcast numbers, although she has claimed she has not "yet" joined the Republican party, but like i said, shes hitting every conservative news station, and podcast, plus her own podcast which seems to be targeting a conservative audience, and shes endorsing Republican candidates. So like most failed politicians, regardless of party affiliation, shes just in it for the money now. So why would anyone even care? That's like bragging Sam Seder is here to endorse our candidate.. Who cares!

People like these are in it for the money. They have no incentive to be truthful, or honest in their views or anything they say. They have certain select audiences to cater too, in order to keep making money. I'm willing to bet that many of these types of peoples views and beliefs aren't even what they claim, or not as one sided as they claim, but, gotta keep that target audience engaged, so they cater to them instead of just being who they really are. These types of political personalities hold no credibility with me. They will tow one line as long as its filling their pockets with cash, until a better offer comes around, and they will switch sides.

I'm attempting (and probably failing) to not make this reply sound like im crapping all over Gabbard, which i know i kinda am, lol, but thats just because shes mentioned in the topic, insert the name of any left or right wing podcaster, youtuber, political personality, here, and my response would be the same.

So basically my question is why would anyone take anything these types of people say with any credibility? They are literally being paid a lot of money to frame and say things in a certain way. They basically tell you what you want to hear, which i guess is what a lot of people are looking for, but for me at least, is what sets off my B.S. detector.

I mean i get why personalities like Ben Shapiro, Sam Seder, TYT, Dave Rubin, and now Gabbard, and others like them (there are so damn many now) have become popular. People don't trust main stream media to be truthful because its all corporately run now. But how are these people any different? Most of them, their shows are actually owned and funded by large media companies. There isn't really much difference. The incentive is the same for both, focus on your target audience, and keep them engaged by any means possible to keep the money funneling in.

So.. Whats the difference? Why are these people "more" trust worthy.

Although she is a politician, she also was in the military...

Tulsi Gabbard (/ˈtʌlsi ˈɡæbərd/; born April 12, 1981) is an American politician, United States Army Reserve officer and political commentator who served as the U.S. representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021. Gabbard was the first Hindu member of Congress and also the first Samoan-American voting member of Congress. She was a candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 2020 United States presidential election,[2][3] before leaving the party and becoming an independent in October 2022.[1]

In 2002, Gabbard was elected to the Hawaii House of Representatives at the age of 21.[4] Gabbard served in a field medical unit of the Hawaii Army National Guard while deployed to Iraq from 2004 to 2005 and was stationed in Kuwait from 2008 to 2009 as an Army Military Police platoon leader.(from Wikipedia)
When watching the debates, she seemed pretty solid. less of a professional politician than the others. She does seem to care about the country more then just filling her pockets with wads of cash...
