Simply: Times are EST: total eclipse begins 5:15 am
maximum eclipse 6:00 am
total eclipse ends 6:40 am
But I had to include this little tidbit from a Yahoo News article........
The total lunar eclipse will be visible throughout North America in the predawn hours — the farther west, the better — and across Asia, Australia and the rest of the Pacific after sunset. As an extra treat, Uranus will be visible just a finger's width above the moon.
(I'm glad they didn't phrase it "a finger's width from Uranus")

Well, I'm almost always up way before dawn so, I'll try to remember this, hopefully we won't have cloud cover. Reference Uranus, there's some things I'd rather not know.

When I was young and in school, the teachers would not pronounce Uranus as we normally do. ('your anus') It sounded bad for the prudish way things were back then. They pronounced it 'ur UN us' or 'you RAN us'

Uranus close to the......"Moon"....?
Back in 2017, I went up to eastern Oregon to see the Solar eclipse...I would not have gone just for the eclipse, but in a small town near the line of totality (Sumpter) They had a gold dredge; My favorite place to vacation is Trinity Lake, and Trinity county is famous for the gold dredges and tailings. Always wanted to see one but all the Trinity County ones had been destroyed, with the iron parts sent to south America to make new ones down there. I figured I'd never get a chance to see one.
All of the lodging/campsites were reserved for a year before the eclipse (I tried two weeks out) but I finally called the Sumpter Stockade, but all of their rooms were taken....I mentioned that I also wanted to see the dredge, and the lady stated she could let me have the "No frills" room....for $20!
Later, while driving up there, I started to think about that....room; Sumpter "Stockade", room in Basement, only $20.....Hmmmm, maybe I should charge THEM for whatever was going to happen to me! (IT actually was ok)

A good map of the shadow : timeanddate/eclipse/lunar/Nov-8-2022 5am in these parts.
Superstitious voters will sense a change.. ' Happy days are here again ! ' ' Nay Unbeliever ! Lo, the ominous shadow cast upon the Moon foretells the World at War, Russia obliterated by a hurricane of nukes ! ' ' Prepare yourself for the imbecile to eff things up ! '

We're in position to see the entire eclipse here in Vancouver... except for the fact that it's totally overcast.

Well, dang. With my anticipation of winning almost $2B on my single Powerball Ticket, I completely forgot about the Blood Moon.
Oh well, when I win, I'll pay Elon to get me a closer look at the moon.

~6:15 AM EST. I actually lucked into this. I had gone outside to walk the puppy. (Every four hours... ) Figured the moon had "set" already, until I looked just above the trees.
