A 10 minute video about critical reaction to 20th century music by Mary Spender: (Page 1/4)

Each of us has his limits. I get off the crazy train when Ozzy gets on, though I never cared much for Elvis either.
I know, sacrilege, huh?

You know, with the exception of Stravinsky, the criticism was more about the act. One hundred years from now, when the conversation turns to music, only two of those five will be remembered for their music: Igor Stravinsky and Bob Dylan. Sure, Elvis had a great voice and Black Sabbath explored dark modality, but Madonna was absolutely vapid. None of the three will be remembered for their music. They will be remembered (if at all) for the show, the act.

Long live the King... and I'm not referring to Charlie!

I don't have to admire Madonna's intellect or looks or lack thereof to enjoy a few of her songs.

Is there something wrong with the nerves in his face?
he appears to have involuntary facial muscle spasms.

She in contrast, has the voice and face of an angel and plays her instruments divinely.

I am a fan of her commentary. She seems well balanced.

I have always been drawn to music as an art form and am fascinated by the technical and cultural aspects thereof.

Adam Neely is more technical, but also more "woke".

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but the facial expressions are part of his schtick. (It's a "metal music" thing.)
They are both highly proficient musicians.

Musical proficiency aside, I suppose if I were as ugly as he is I might make faces too. Evidently he's not so proficient that his music can stand alone without all that childish facial crap. Thought maybe his amplifier or guitar had shorted out and he was the ground or someone had poured a 1 lb coffee can of fire ants up his ass.

Leo Moracchioli is a helluva talented individual. Would I act in a similar manner? Never. Do I have a fraction of his artistic ability? Absolutely not.

Don, as Raydar has mentioned, Leo's antics are part and parcel of his YouTube "schtick". I admit that even I sometimes tire of his behavior, but I'm willing to tolerate it to be able to listen to what he creates.

Leo does the "heavy metal" musical arrangement for all the songs he covers, plays all the instruments, records and mixes the audio tracks, shoots and edits all the video... it's a ton of work... and he does a superb job of it.

Different strokes for different folks. Not everyone has to like what he presents.

This is one of my favorite videos of his. It helps to be familiar with the original version by Metallica to fully appreciate what Leo's done, as he's taken a song which is already "metal" and... incorporated a banjo. I think this video is masterfully done.

The original, for anyone who may be interested...

Not only is new music terrible, but for the first time, everybody agrees it's terrible. Normally kids will defend the newest things because it's what MTV or other influencers tell them to like or try to force down their throats, but it's gotten so bad even they can tell.

IMO music peaked in the late 80's.
