I've always enjoyed listening to him on Art Bell and Joe Rogan.

I actually started watching it and made it about half-way through the second episode and I quit.

I found it interesting, but good gawd, the circular aurgumenative pattern and the filming format is absolutely annoying to me. I get it's that way for entertainment purpose, but it so distracting to me that I can't watch it.

That's the way it is for most of these type programs nowadays.
The older I get, the more I want "Just the facts ma'am" and not a repetitive background commentary after every commercial.

I used to watch (or try to watch) Expedition Unknown. It became more and more about the host Joshua Gates and not so much about the 'expedition', and I don't think he's ever actually 'found' anything on those shows. I now can't stand the guy.

I read the "Chariots of the Gods" series in my early teens and really got into the whole topic.

Interest sort of waned over the years, mostly because while all this "stuff" is there and continues to be found, nothing is ever going to come of it. Aliens or past civilization doesnt really matter, the out-of-place artifacts are a threat to the narrative and power structure of the planet, so will continue to be ignored as nothing-burgers.

Same as "Breakthrough" by Constantine Raudive. It's mostly transcripts of EVP sessions on a reel-to-reel recorder done in the 60's. THAT one really got me on a ghost-hunting kick, and I still enjoy watching the paranormal shows on YouTube. LOL, the book came with a 45 record of some of the recordings.

Blogger at Neurologica says "Atlantis is a myth" and lays out his case. If you're thinking of trying to find Atlantis, you're thinking wrong, says this blogger.

Yes, it also annoys the crap out of me when the producers seem to think we all have Alzheimer's and can't remember anything beyond 10 minutes the way they have to repeat everything. But it could also be that they need filler so they can make their 10 episodes when it all can be covered in just 1.5 hours.

I usually skip a lot in the shows so I can just see the points.

I'm starting to see what you mean. This easily could have been a 1-2 part series. Glad that its doing well, but it seems stretched out...

I haven't watch much of "reality TV", but they all seemed to do this. 30 seconds - 2 minutes of the same exact footage and dialogue that was JUST PLAYED before the commercials...

This is why I stopped watching "Nova" many years ago. It devolved into a fundraising promo for the "Celebrity Scientist of the Week".

See,
the Pillars of Hercules were on Thera, not the 2800 km's west, 1750 miles, at Gibraltar.
The civilization given the name Minoan, by Sir Arthur Evans, in 1900 on Crete.
They, the pillars, are still there, buried by the pyroclastic flow tens of meters deep, beneath the Aegean Sea.

There's more... the myth of the Minotaur deep within the Labyrinth was a description of earthquake precursors, inside the fissures on Thera's bulging dome.
