It snows in El Paso, too. The only way to get away from snow is Silicon Valley or Yuma, and you do NOT want to spend springs, summer, or fall in Yuma.

I was lucky enough to be volunteered to attend "Desert Survival Training near or at 29 Palms (sorry, can';t remember) regardless, it was not something I care to repeat.
While I may move at any time, I will state this, I don't like snow.

Rams.

You may have seen this before. Duluth being touted as a place to escape global warming or climate change, as best as possible (maybe just in the continental U.S.) without actually relocating to orbit or to some other planet.

Ah, I see you have not been to Bandera, TX. San Antonio for that matter. Every eight or ten+ years or so, we might get a snow dust, sometimes maybe a little more.

In 50 years I there have been here, no hurricanes, no tornadoes, no wild fires, no mud slides (I live in the Hill Country), no earthquakes.

Does it get hot ? If it does, I like it. Over 100 degrees I like looking for shade trees, which maryjane did not touch mine, . I don't use my vehicles A/C unless I am in stop and go traffic.

@ maryjane. My wife is on notice. NO MORE MOVING !

Think a little bit harder.

The Earth relocates in orbit, all the time. So does every planet, and Universe.

Try harder.

I was stuck outside just over the Mexican border from Yuma once for 30 minutes when it was 120 degrees, waiting for my driver to come pick me up from the plant. Luckily it was in the shade.

On the other extreme, early February in Houghton, Michigan, makes a lot of Alaska seem like Detroit. Cars don't even attempt to start when it's -40F, and a consistent 2+ feet of snow on the ground. Houses have doors installed on the second floor because sometimes you can't get out. My dorm room window was almost entirely blocked by snow on the first floor after January or so. There were times I shoveled a foot of snow off the Fiero every day.
