Went down to Fremont today to ride my bike around where Fremont Dragstrip used to be (Sadly, there is absolutely nothing left of it)
As I drove down the freeway, slowed by a bit of traffic, a beat up 2000-vintage Lexus IS300 came up next to me....It was extremely "Riced-out", blacked-out trim lowered with the tires splayed out a bit, and a fart-can exhaust. What was really annoying was the guy was driving it in a lower gear so it was revving a lot, and he was constantly accelerating and then cutting it- and he had also done the "Super-cooli-o" new mod of re-programming the computer so that it would back-fire all the time.
Wiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnn-pop-pop-pop, Wiiiiiiinnnnnnn-pop-pop-pop alongside me for approx' a mile- finally, I looked over, made eye contact, and gave him.....the LITTLE finger. He FLIPPED out completely, rolled the window down, yelling, shaking his fist, even threw something (Possibly a burger-box) out the window at me.
I was laughing at him the whole time- but, I was also (Slowly) realizing that this was not the smartest thing I have ever done- (It was funny, though)

So blacked out trim, lowered and a loud exhaust qualifies as riced these days? You have basically described a BMW Any number of them actually. BMW even offers blackout trim as a factory option. It used to be that rice was about vulgar body kits and giant wings. Even the too large for the car wheels everybody is doing these days.

Even up here, where people are very seldom packing heat, I don't bother trying to antagonize anyone while driving. There are enough hazards to avoid without needing to be dodging artillery.

 Really harshed his day, lol. Went home, took his immature frustrations out on the girlfriend. She called the cops, who violated his probation. The Lexus got towed by the bond agent. That little winger wave that rippled the fabric of his reality. ' He blew his mind out in a car... ' A Day in the Life

I usually just laugh at them, if I do anything.

A) You would have to see the car to see what I meant by "Riced-out'...But the wheels being canted would be the most obvious indicator (Indictment...?)
B) I understand running (Relatively) loud >>Free-flowing<< exhaust, and also re-tuning the engine for more performance, but making it run crappier so it will back-fire all the time? >>>D*U*M*B<<<
C) I really should not have done what I did, but I was just sick of listening to the little juvenile delinquent....I wish I had an electro-magnetic beam device so when someone is playing their music real loud (Especially the ones with the guy trapped in the trunk) or with the "crappy-running-engine-on-purpose", I could just point it at them and ZAP- it would shut them down...
I would try not to make it obvious that I was the one who did it...But my Gi-normous grin would probably give me away.

I knew exactly what you were talking about, when you posted. I see those damned things all over GA. Along with the squatted trucks. I laugh at those, too. And then we have the rolling "ghetto blasters", that you can hear bass (and nothing else) for blocks. Every panel on the car is vibrating and rattling.

Road Phasors. A kind of high powered laser light, deconstructing materials into unbound atomic particles, that are then dissipated as steam, clouds, really. Brake Checker ? ----------------------------------------- Bzzzttt ! Phfffft ! High Beam Tailgater ? ----------------------------------- Bzzzttt ! Phfffft ! Obnoxious Karen Cellphone Drifting Driver ? ---------- Bzzzttt ! Phfffft ! Ricky Ricer Road Racers ? ------------------------------ Bzzzttt ! Phfffft ! Why, the roads would overnight become congestion free, polite and courteous, smoothly travelling at elevated speeds, costing less.
