Joseph Joseph (Page 1/1)

I ran across a company that calls itself “Joseph Joseph” while looking for something on Amazon and I found the name intriguing. I know the name as a Jazz song from the early 20th century.

Originally a Yiddish song, “Yossel, Yossel” was written in 1923 by Russian born American actress, singer and songwriter, Nellie Casman. The Andrews Sisters had a hit with an English language version as “Joseph, Joseph” in 1938.

I posted a great version here a few years ago, done by a European Gypsy Jazz group “Hot Club du Nax”.

Anyway, nothing earth shattering, just a bit of Jazz, sparked by a search for oven mitts on a website that is named after a very long river only because it alphabetizes early in most lists.
