Sure you have. Gary Cooper played him in the move.
I have often wondered if there is a member here who might be related.

Perhaps the most celebrated U.S. soldier from Word War I, Alvin York...

I knew of Sgt Alvin York before I even knew of Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett.

I am remotely (very much so) related to Sgt Alvin York. My GGG Grandfather (John York) was ancestor of Alvin, with both Alvin York and my GGG Grandfather being born in Fentress County Tn but my direct line of Yorks had split off and left Tenn prior to the Civil War and had moved to Lauderdale County Ala by the time the Civil War began and then to Texas after the end of the the Civil War to escape the carpet baggers. My GG Grandfather Thomas Franklin York of Alabama died of cholera somewhere in Tenn as a confederate soldier..his grave site is unknown. They (Alabama/early Texas Yorks) were dirt poor and remained so for the most part until after the Great Depression and even until WW2.

There were 5 different Sgt York pictures that hung in the later years of my boyhood home and 1 Cpl York. Alvin York of WW1 era, Thomas York of the Civil War era , my uncle Bill York of WW2 era , my Father Sgt(T) Honree York of WW2 era, Cpl Roy York and of course, your's truly Sgt Donald York. As far as I know, I am the only family member thru out the ages to 'break rank' and become a US Marine instead of being in the US Army. My father and uncles were very often prone to tell me: "Well, In My Man's Army, we didn't do things that way!"

As an aside, PFF member Wolfhound and I are pretty sure our ancestors were either related or at least, most certainly knew each other in Alabama as they were all from the same small town in that state..

33% due to less staff involved in the whole process

33% due to deadlines , more work, less time to complete it,

33% due to the staff not being the same proficient at their job as they were in the past.

2% due to poor math skills

or maybe its an AI article... nah, it was "Time", something I used to think was above making mistakes like that...or at least correcting quickly...but not enough people even CARE that the mistake is there.

Who?

(joking, I've heard of him but have never seen a single one of his movies.)

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000011/

Only know him from this:

Dressed up like a million-dollar trooper
Trying hard to look like Gary Cooper (super-duper)

Come, let's mix where Rockefellers walk with sticks or umbrellas in their mitts
Puttin' on the ritz

Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck made a great movie that is definitely worth seeing. It has some relevance to modern American politics and journalism.

Barbara Stanwyck was so cute back then.
