Seems they found a huge toad.

*skim skim skim* They removed it from the wild.

 then... they killed it.

Toadzilla was “euthanized due to the environmental damage they cause.”

 --------
ok, I get it - its invasive... but they couldn't put it in a zoo, at least?

I know, this story isn't important.

 But still...

          | A) That is one BIG toad, and B) I agree- they should have studied the >>LIVE<< toad then put it in a zoo or some such....Killing one out of "Millions" is not going to make a difference- they need to get all the ones still there to make a difference.
Where I boat (Sacramento Delta), they have a problem with invasive Brazilian Egeria weed taking over and clogging everything. Some fool twenty years ago dumped his aquarium out and the weed has taken over- nothing here will eat it- or kill it.

          | OMG, they killed Kenny!

Not sure why they had to euthanize it.
I suspect someone would've been quite happy to have kept the world's largest toad as a pet. | |

But still, they could have at least fed a hungry person somewhere with it...
