Clay, Fiero Clay (Page 1/2)

So, like a Fiero drawing, looks nice in a '70s way. Chevelle was done like that later.
Appeals to me, a chrome bumpered Fiero.
' Yeah, Fiero, yeah, a '73 '

So many ideas used by so many, years later.

Thanks for sharing that.

There are some cool pics of the 'clay' Fieros out there. Think I saw them in that Fiero Book by Gary Witzenburg...

In cattle, we'd call that top photo the result of a 3way cross.

A 65 Mustang got bred to an American Motors Javelin rear that had a Corvair front end.

' That would be cool. '

Someone at the site asked for a "rough estimate of the 0-60 time". With a duke a 3-spd auto, I'd say about an hour and a half.

The nervous vulnerability now dissipated, open topped motoring in fine spring weather is a pleasant experience.
The burbling V8 turbo quietly providing economical travel in style.

' RStokes
Recognizing not everyone likes every mod someone makes to his or her own car,
I have to say, as a lifelong Fiero fan,
I really dig this roadster conversion and tip my hat to you for the vision and skill to pull it off
- nicely done & a sharp looking car! '

On another plane, of unreality,
' C4Restorations
Having had a 1985 Fiero GT from new,
the reason for the fires was the braintrust at GM thought it would be a good job to run the fuel line right next to
(sometimes over) the battery hold down case.
You know that little metal box with sharp corners.
Add in a little vibration and over the course of time would cause them to catch on fire.
Hence the fuel smell that was always there. '

Boo ! What a crock.

omg !
Tee-Hee !

' Having had a 1985 Fiero GT from new ' uh... no... no you didn't C4.

Derangement symptoms, possible infection resulting from penetration by alien entities, or, some mundane household object, self inflicted.
That way, the nonsense may be returned to it's place of origin, so convenient.
5w-20 lubrication assisting the glide.
lol

What possible return would be realized for uttering false claims and obvious slander ?
Repetition of important factoids incorrectly interpreted, producing misinformed blather, blarney, otherwise referred to as bs.

They really are just sad.

There was this guy, that claimed his brother's cousin's Fiero would lift off the highway, because the engine was in the back, and that made the front too light.
In 1983.
Since that time, I've heard all manner of blarney about Fieros, and other things, subjects, like.

Powered by the 454, they could then carry the guardrail with them.
And so, they did.
Both the Corvair xp892 and the later Corvair fastback made it to production.

The plastic covers discarded in favor of retro '70s bumpers, spray chromed composites.
Has anyone put Cragar SS spokes on a Fiero ?

All of a sudden, I'm getting a Diablo, Vette, vibe.
A lower chromed bumper, Frenched in, might look ok.

Oh, alright then...

Massage the shape , the slope, of the chrome bumper to that of the drawing at top.

Raised the rear deck, sloped the vents.
Will do more, more radical, more power, more tire, a soft top to keep the rain out, newfangled materials.

That car has a rip-snorting 90 HP duke. The "burbling" you're imagining might more likely be a cracked exhaust manifold.
