"Oh, Dusya, my Marusya" is a traditional Russian folk song about young love.

This video by Otava Yo won the Best Music Video Award at the NYC Indie Film Awards in 2017 and is well worth watching not only for the great arrangement and interpretation by a very talented group of musicians, but also because of the stunning mountain scenery.

Beginning at 3:00 you will see this historical church: https://russiatrek.org/blog...f-st-prophet-elisha/

At 3:55 you will see a recreation of a photo from 1904 by Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky: https://theculturetrip.com/...ely-different-light/

At 3:22 it all comes together with a great instrumental bridge including a moving series of chord changes unfolding at 3:40 when you see Volodya Lazerson leaning on a motorcycle and playing a hand carved end blown flute.

Otava Yo might just be the best cultural ambassadors the Russian people have ever had.
