Very similar here in Southern Mississippi. Generally we have pleasant winters but pretty humid summers. It is, what it is. We all make a decision on where we want to call home.
Nice flowers, I'm guessing Roses? If not, that's alright, I don't know crap about flowers. My wife's flowers are starting to do their thing also.

yes roses. got 2 just like it, either side of back porch walkway. they were here when I got here but I pruned 'em back last Sept when they started reaching out over the walkway. Supposed to prune them in late Feb, but they were covered in ice then, for about 4 straight days and nights so I didn't.
My days of living in humidity are OVER!

1700 miles north-west from the geographical center of Texas... crocuses have poked through the earth, and buds are swelling on the trees. Fortunately, there won't be any grass to mow for a short while yet.

I seeded with rye grass pretty early so I've had green grass all "winter", but my perennial bulbs have come out and some flowered a little too early they have started to wilt with this little bit of cool weather.

Annual or perennial ryegrass? I had about 1/2 a 5 bushel hopper left one year from the pasture and decided to drive around the yard with it for green grass in Jan-March. Would have been ok, except the hopper I pulled behind my tractor slung those seeds everywhere (it would cover 20' wide swath) ..in the driveway, in the rose beds, in the other flowerbeds, under the house, in the ditches, along the edge of the shop, around the water well, and in the garden. What a mess!
I have some bulbs we call 'paper whites' that I haven't gotten in the ground yet, but no worries..they don't start growing until December and bloom in February. By Early April, I always cut 'em down with a weedeater. I have some tulips I intend to plant (from a housewarming gift pot) but I don't know crap about them except they need to be underground for an entire winter before they will multiply.[This message has been edited by maryjane (edited 03-19-2023).]
