Since I retired 5 years ago, I have gone through several drones and can highly recommend DJI Mini 2, or the original Mavic Air. Picked both of them up for under $400 very lightly used. The original Mavic Air has obstacle avoidance and is still my favorite to fly, but the flight time is under 15 minutes unfortunately. The Mini 2 has a great flight time of over 20 minutes but no obstacle avoidance.
One thing to consider is do not get anything without a 3 axis gimbal. My videos with both of these almost look like they are sitting on a tripod even in fairly high winds. Without the 3 axis gimbal, you will see a lot of motion that I do not like.
This is a video I did when I first got the Mini 2, with a little musical creation I did as background music. I forgot how to embed a video, so here is a link to it instead.

We are too close to an airport and its against the law to fly them here. But I would love to get one of the drones that support a head set. That must be a blast to fly around in first person.

Yup... A lot of areas are "No Fly" for drone here and Not just near airports or .mil places.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)

A buddy of mine got a mavic back in the days and did all the updates for it. The updates dont give you any new moves, they only update where it cant fly. So get a mavic and dont update it. Saw a vid where you can put a few layers of foil on the gps transmitter and it will block the signal so you can fly within sight. I really dont do any videos w mine just fly the hell out of em. I do have a big quadcopter and an airplane drone I attach a 4k camera to the bottom rarely. Check out the jjrc m02 and the xk x450, crazy fun!

I would go with the Mini 2 fly more combo. The fun factor would be much higher due to the weight differences between the two. The mini is ultra responsive vs the heavier one.
I know this as a fact because I also have a Yuneec Q500 4K that weighs about the same, and when flying that one I have to be very aware of when I want to stop and turn due to the added inertia. The Mini stops and turns on a dime vs. my Yuneec, and the much smaller profile is not as affected by the winds.
Some drones you cannot fly well in winds over 15 mph, so do the research on that also.
Both are fine, but carrying around my Yuneec is a pain due to the size..... heheh, I have an aluminum carry case for it that is about the size of a suit case, vs. the Mini which is in a case smaller than a shoe box.
One more thing about drones...... you must pass an online test to legally fly one now even recreationally....! Here is a link to the free test for anyone interested in it. https://trust.pilotinstitut...5EAAYAiAAEgIKJPD_BwE
