Do all USB 3.2 Fash Drives run hot? Im looking for a micro flash drive either 2.0 or 3.2. I read a few posts about the faster 3.2 running hot.

USB 3.0 & ⬆️ devices can get More power to run Faster and side effect often make more Heat.
W/ "Thumb Drives" many are made "poorly" even by big brands like SanDisk so can't dump that heat easy so will get Hot as use Read or Write data.
Part of why made poorly, "Thumb Drives" are not make to Run a machine. Manly only as "Backup" or "Transfer" media so isn't used constantly.

Portable HD and SSD can get Hotter too for same reason. Both Not made to run full time.

Want to see how much power...
In Windows. https://www.nirsoft.net/uti...sb_devices_view.html
It shows USB Type and Power Draw

Plug into 2.0 port and see power limit is 500ma but whatever "drive" is Slower too and not just because on 2.0 port.

If you mean SD Card readers... They often have same issues as above when when device and port are 3.0 & ⬆️.

Any Flash Media will make more heat as they read or write data and "worse" at Max Speed that 3.x can handle.
