Are you a fan of the graphic novel? Did the movie did the source material justice?

I don't know anything about the graphic novels as I wasn't into them or comics.

But the movie I thought was pretty good. Rorschach, though, was a bad azz. Loved that character.

It was fairly close too the books. The overall main plot is the same, but as is common with book to movie adaptations some stuff was left out, or changed.

If i had seen the movie without reading the books as a kid i would have thought it was a decent super hero movie. Plus its different for its pretty bleak and dark tone.

But being a fan of the books first, my impression of the movie was.. ehhh.. It was ok.. It tried at least..

Now when it came to the short lived series.. no, that crap was just horrible.

But i felt the same about Infinity war and End game.. I grew up reading the Infinity series of novels as a kid that was all focused on Thanos and the Infinity gems. The movies mainly sourced The Infinity Gauntlet book which was the first in the series. And as well done as the movies were, they where WAAAAAY different than the books. The stones and gauntlet itself where way nerfed compared too the books. In the movies the gauntlet is more like a weapon, you gotta activate it and one or more of the gems to get the effect you want.. Which allows thanos to do some crazy stuff, but still, it works like a weapon. In the comics, just wearing the gauntlet literally turned you into god. You didnt have to activate a gem, they all where active at all times, and you just used your powers by thinking it.. Way more powerful.. But that probably would be hard to recreate on screen, so they changed it..
