Fiero is gone (Page 1/3)
Jake_Dragon JUL 28, 02:07 PM
California has pretty much ruined my chances of getting another one and doing what I want to do with it.
I have looked at several and a stock Fiero just doesn't interest me.

So I started looking for something that they so far have not regulated the fun out of.
Its not going to be easy finding a nice looking pre 1975 two door project that is not going to cost $30000 to get into.
Its been fun, its been real, but its never been real fun.

Dunning-Krugerands

In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with low ability at a task overestimate their ability.
It is related to the cognitive bias of illusory superiority and comes from the inability of people to recognize their lack of ability.
Without the self-awareness of metacognition, people cannot objectively evaluate their competence or incompetence.

**metacognition, awareness and understanding of one's own thought processes.

What about a Fiero EV?
fredtoast JUL 28, 04:40 PM
I love the Opel GT, and they were not really expensive. Have no idea if they are available now at a reasonable cost.

Every other pre-1975 car I would like would cost an arm and a leg.

Doubt you can still do it, but I got a pretty damn nice 67 Mustang Coupe in Freemont for under 5k.....35 years ago.

Bro your post totally bummed me out. Theres workarounds. Theyre all a pain in the ass for sure but theyre there. Buy an ev fiero or convert one to ev, then it doesnt need to be smogged again. Then throw whatever your heart desires out back. Or change the motor out every 2 years at smog time. Or have 1 stock and 1 modified and change the vin plate. Invest in a rivet gun n rivets lol. Or bring it to me every 2 years n ill swap the motor out in a weekend. Or get a turbo kit and just change the y-pipe, ecm, and map sensor, thatll only take a few hours. Dont give up the fight!

Sorry to hear Jake, perhaps a MG would peak your interest. Plus there were instructions on the MG board on adapting fiero seats to the floor boards.
