Regret is a terrible thing. 5 more minutes of kindness, its seems so easy until you are unable to. I wish I was back drinking wine and splashing in the pool with my friend. Seems like it was so long ago. Don't let the little things go undone because you have to deal with something big, you never know. She has been fighting for so long, its been a year and they only gave her 3 months. I knew it was dire, I knew I was going to have to prepare but until yesterday she had not said the words. Take the time to tell the people that mean something to you how you feel. Doesn't have to be some declaration of love. But let them know. Dead is dead, they will move on to what ever waits us after we are all gone. But you have to live with it, 5 minutes can make a life time of difference. I talked to my friend over the last year and we have said the things that need said. But that 5 minutes will haunt you, even if you manage to put it right. I do not like it but I accept what will eventually happen to all of us. Its just a really shitty way for her to go out.
