This is probably a long shot. I have a number of locations (FM transmitter sites) set up on a VPN with our main office using Wireguard VPN. I've got wireguard on my phone and my Windows laptop and can connect to the VPN. However, their Mac client requires Mac OS12 or above. I've read online about people downloading the app on a newer machine, then just moving it to one with an older OS. This does NOT work with the current version--it just pops up the notice that OS12 is required and won't open.
Is anyone successfully using Wireguard on an older Mac OS? Maybe a previous version of the client? I have an older iMac as my primary computer at home that is running 10.13.6--newest OS it can run. The laptop is my work laptop and I don't always bring it home, and sometimes it's nice to have a screen larger than 4" and a real mouse when logging in to correct a problem or make a change.
I can still get in from home either by just setting up a router (behind the router from my ISP) that connects to the VPN, or with my phone. It would be nice though to just eliminate the extra router and have a VPN I can activate if necessary. Thanks!
