In super short From the actual Ruling:
quote
On remand, the district court held that the non-commercial posting of standards incorporated by reference into law is fair use.

This affect not only ASTM, NFPA, & ASHRAE that sued but SAE & All Others put Standards behinds High $ Paywalls that is written into Many Thousands of Fed & State Laws & Rules.

Example can use this to release many SAE doc's called by FMVSS 571.108 Rules & PA Vehicle Lighting Law that show many details that's been hidden for most people outside of the Car Makers Club. Maybe now we'll get current version of SAE-J759 w/ all codes for light fixtures on vehicles. More so w/ newer codes for Headlights. (see https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/146377.html w/ 20 year old data because only can get.)

As I was told... Only If SCOTUS takes it & say "Wrong," Appeals from DC affects all States.

Note: Title Icon change at some point but didn't notice to post was going to be thumbs up. Can't charge it now.
