Are these "a thing" near you?

Cameras and blue flashing lights...

Mobile surveillance units are something that we use on our various sites throughout California. We don't have the blue lights but we have talkdown capability to warn the suspect as well as the fixed and PTZ cameras. I assume Home Depot is getting tired of the crimes.

There are a "3rd Party" that leases the things to HD Wmart etc.
search Lot Cop

In fact many W-mart have Remove all or most of their own cameras look over the parking areas.

I have one at a HD here. I did not know it had a camera. It is too big for just a camera and blue flashing light. I can not imagine how it records all three entry / exit doors, or all of the parking lot.

Is this what you are talking about?

I got this image off of Google maps, but it is at the Lowe's in Glendale where I shop. I have seen it many times, but never really knew what it was for.

I saw something similar at a music festival in downtown Phoenix a few years ago. It made a convenient table for the lunch we bought at the food truck.

One I've seen a Wmart is yellow instant of white.
LotCop setup don't record as default. It/They stream/remote several cameras to the back office by Cell data.

If any watch Virtual Rail, is likely same setup but that uses local power @ many or all sites.

We have those at a construction site here in Port Charlotte Fl, The Sun Seeker resort. I think they use them to deter theft, they are flashing blue lights. Not sure if they will still have them after the project is completed.

To add a little more to my post earlier, they can also be equipped with active shooter location equipment.

Every parking lot has a bunch of those around here. Those have been around for awhile now. Dunno if they do anything, I think a lot of people dont know what they are.
