Darryl Hall takes restraining order against John Oates (Page 1/2)
Raydar NOV 23, 09:36 AM
Since these guys are a bit of "Fiero History", I thought about posting this in GFC. But, meh.

Hall & Oates are embroiled in a confidential legal battle that has led to Daryl Hall getting a restraining order against his former music partner John Oates.

Little information about the lawsuit is publicly available, as the court documents are sealed, but based on court records, Hall filed an undisclosed complaint against Oates on Nov. 16, as well as a motion for a temporary restraining order, as reported by Philadelphia magazine. The following day, the court officially issued a temporary restraining order to begin Nov. 30.

The Nashville Chancery Court confirmed the existence of the lawsuit to Variety, but declined further comment because the lawsuit is sealed.

This is what really pisses me off about these famous bands that have been around forever. They release hit after hit and then sue the crap out of one another. And to top it off, at 77 years old, what does Hall think he'll accomplish? He stirs up crap, dies in a few years, and spent his last days ruining the name of the band because of greed.

Why do you care how they waste their wealth or destroy the bands name/legacy?

Real question. I'm a fan of their music, but this doesn't have any bearing on "our" lives.

I'd just like to see one of these famous bands end their career in a positive way. Most of these long time bands end up with their name in the gutter.

GRACE is now 84
she retired at 50
she said no one over 50 should perform rock

if in 65 some one asked what bands will survive or fall apart

no body picked the stones to be playing forever

Someone was able to take a peek at it before they sealed it, it was a custody battle over their Fiero! <----TRUE STORY!

They both insisted each other take it!

Bizarre story.

Hall & Oates made so much money over the years with their extensive string of hits.

You'd think they could just relax and enjoy the rest of their lives, but...

Maybe it is planned for the publicity.

I liked Hall and Oates, but I had not thought of their music in many years until I read this in the news. Now I keep hearing in my head "Private eyes. They're watching you. They see your every move..."
