Music videos that you can watch over and over? (Page 1/1)

Show us something that you love to watch over and over. Tell us why.

These are two of my favorites, and share some similarities. I have posted both here before.

Both are live performances by North American Klezmer bands with some additional instrumentation, one from Montreal and the other from Mexico City.

Both songs are traditional Southeastern European folk songs performed as instrumentals, one Serbian and the other Greek.

I think both performances are absolutely stunning.

I like to immerse myself in to music from my not so distance past. I enjoy donning a good pair of headphones, putting my feet up and listening to all hours the night.

One of my favorites is this Pink Floyd concert , especially enjoy the saxophone performances.

They actually make Disco sound like music.

Martin Barre, guitarist. Formerly with Jethro Tull.
Thick as a brick is my favorite Tull track.
Martin and his band look like they're enjoying the hell out of playing (an excerpt from) it, in a small venue.
Doesn't hurt that they're quite good. (To clarify... Martin is the one in the funny hat. )

I'll add one more.
This has been posted here a number of times, but it still fits the bill.
The performers all look like they're having a blast. (Joe looks like hes tripping balls, but I think that's just Joe.)

I'll never forget one night damned near 20 years ago, I was watching our local PBS station. There was this girl I'd never heard of just wailin' on a B3. I was an instant fan.

When I was young I started listening to music- first my parents got me into 'The Sound of Music" (First movie I ever went to see in theater)....Then (arrggg) The Partridge Family, then Elton John and finally Queen...We had a Philco wood-cabinet stereo and I would lay in front between the speakers in the dark and listen to whole albums.

1987- Updated with good speakers, CD player and some other mods;


I really like "Album Rock" because A) I like the idea of all the songs on an album being interconnected, and B) The bands could do some crazy songs that did not "fit-in" the standard "Pop-rock" mold. Favorite albums; Heart; Dreamboat Annie, Queen II, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Fragile (Yes), Dark Side of the Moon, Boston, Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band....and Days of Future Passed by the Moody Blues....

For years the Moody Blues would play in concerts and a number of their songs don't really work without a symphony orchestra...Finaly, they played at Red Rocks in Colorado with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra....That went over so big that they then toured- hooking up with different Orchestras. I was lucky to see them at Shoreline amphitheater w/ CA symphony Orchestra.

Here are two from the same series. Both always leave me spelbound.

Bela Fleck and Jerry Douglas are absolute masters. This song is one of Bela Fleck’s compositions.



Here, Jerry Douglas plays what is essentially an electric Weissenborn.



And just for sheer enthusiasm, Tommy Emmanuel and Jerry Douglas play Douglas’ “Chocktaw Hayride”
