Bob was a very funny guy. I loved his deadpan humor. RIP

I'm SOOO confused. Saw the new on a website this morning, and I thought they were talking about this being one year after his passing...
Because he died like a year or so ago...RIGHT?!?  There were videos about his roles and Big Bang super-clips... I felt sad when he died because he was so good in all his old roles and then again in BBT...hilarious as Professor Proton and then after he passed (on the show). And now, he ACTUALLY passed away (again?)
Man, this is going to bother me for a spell.
Just when I thought I realized my full nutjob potential...  Sorry - not trying to make this about ME...

That /\ /\ /\ is the best ending to a TV show EVER!! Absolute genius....
I actually rarely watched Newhart- but I did think highly of him and remember very clearly seeing him in the movie "Hell is for Hereos" doing his Phone-shtick.
He had a long and very good life...

He was best friends with Don Rickles for decades. Them and their wives took vacations together.
Can you imagine what it would have been like to hang out with those two guys?
