Need a litter assistance on oil filters (Page 1/2)

OK, the short story is I have several oil filters I've had on my shelf for a while but I have no idea what vehicle/engine they fit.
Anyone know of a website that when fed the filter number will list what that filter goes onto.

It should work. After you've used the search function there, the item should come up on the left. Then click on the part number/hyperlink and a little box should open up listing the applications.

Again, thanks I went to the site but don't have the filters in front of me but, I feel confident that it will answer my questions. The problem is, we've had a number of different vehicles and quite a few Fieros with a number of engine swaps. So, I really have no idea what these filters might fit. Thanks.

Tried the Rock Auto site, might have been my inexperience with the site but, I couldn't find an Oil Filter section. Regardless, I ended up searching for the oil filters for all the current vehicles in our stable. By doing that I discovered at least two of the filters fit our current engines. But, thanks anyway.

Note: Many brands use Frame base numbers w/ different letter(s) as prefix, suffix or both.
so xx3980yy is long filter & xx3387yy is short filter for Fiero & many other models.

Is how I get many "off brand" filters @ flea markets etc because most can't get many industrial catalogs & no clue about Frame base numbers.

Others brands/models just web, AZ, AA, RA, search the brand & pn or just pn.
There are huge interchange "books" that AZ etc have not available to general public.

Yeppers, I knew a lot of brands use the Fram numbers. Thanks. With the exception of three filters, the rest are going to be donated to my local parts store to give away to folks in need. I'm going to let the store figure out what they fit on (the store manager said he'd be glad to do this, we both know it'll help him sell more oil and helping folks out like this is, good customer relations). Way too many things on my plate right now and I can use the space those filters are taking up. Thanks again.

Ummm... there was no need to find "an Oil Filter section". All you had to do was input the part number.

Well, all I can say is I tried numerous ways and couldn't make it show the results I wanted, kept getting an error message but, I really do appreciate your effort to assist me. The filters I could not identify as ones that would work with my current vehicles have already been given to the parts store. They are supposed to give them away to folks in need. Hope that is exactly what happens. Thanks again.
