He had some greats in his "troup" over the years.
Had a friend who's dad was a DJ in Cleveland, and the friend got to interview Mayall backstage at a concert once back in the late 60's. He asked him what he looked for in a guitar player...without missing a beat or having to stop and think he replied: "Taste and feeling". Sure was evident in his choice of players!
