One of the more unusual car events in the Atlanta GA area is the annual Polar Bear Run, conducted by the Georgia Triumph Association. It's unusual because it's held on the last Saturday in December, which isn't the best weather for an event for roadsters, but it always draws a lot of cars. Sports cars and classic cars of all kinds are invited to participate, and so each year at least a few members of the Georgia Fiero Club come along. I've been on the last three, and I've seen some very nice cars in the run, including Ferraris, Lotuses, and a beautiful mint X-19. This year's route will begin in Alpharetta GA and wind it's way though back roads to the Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville, GA. The GTA always does an excellent job in creating the route, and the run is always very enjoyable. See a flyer about the run here.
