Just wanted to officially invite everyone to our annual KY Lake cruise on October 1, 2011 (sorry for the error in subject line - site will not let me edit that, and unfortunatley I was typing on a tiny virtual keyboard and goofed!). We will meet up in Paducah KY at 9:30 from at Southern Pride truckstop which is at exit 16 off of I24 and head out for a day of fun. A meet and greet is being planned by Capitol City Fieros for September 30. More details to follow. Hope to see you there!. This year's cruise is dedicated to the memory of Eddy McCarty, who was in the process of building a custom 88 Fiero but unable to complete it.

We have some updates to pass along. Unfortunately our friends from Capital City Fieros are unable to make it after all; therefore the meet and greet on 9/30 will be held somewhere in the Calvert City, Kentucky area. I am trying to get a feel for how many folks are coming before I pick a place and reserve some tables.
Our friends from Louisville, KY and Southern, IN report that Days Inn at Calvert City is booking rooms through Hotels.com for about $49 a night; this is located right off of I-24 at Exit 27 and one exit away from our starting point at Exit 16. I have been told the hotel is nice so don't let the price fool you!
We are also still hoping to see a drive-in movie at Calvert City drive in to end the day. So as of today the tentative schedule is:
Friday, 9/30, 7:00-???? Gather at a restaurant close to the hotel, probably Cracker Barrell or Willow Pond - we will know more as RSVPs come in so make sure to check back here for more details or e-mail me at Jennifer@midamericafieros.com or Fierochic@yahoo.com
Saturday, 10/1, 8:30 - Breakfast at Southern Pride Truck Stop buffet for Early Birds
9:30 - 10:00 line up and head off for a day of fun!
10:30 - working on joining a local car show in Smithland, KY but that show is still in planning stage.
12:30 or soon thereafter, break for lunch at a restaurant in the Lakes area
2:00-4:30 - continue cruise through Land Between the Lakes, with photo stops and snacks/drinks
7:00 - ??? Movie at Calvert City Drive In.
So far I have had a lot of inquiries and several RSVPs; we are looking forward to a good turnout.
