The 17th Annual Run For The Hills will again be in the beautiful twisty mountain roads of North Carolina and Tennessee.
On the itinerary and the main focus of the run is The Dragon at Deals Gap.
Make your plans now to join us in one of the most exciting of Fiero events.
Event date is September 14, 15, and 16. As always, we gather on the first day, then Run For The Hills on the 2nd day and return home on the 3rd day.
Lodging is yet to be determined, but we will update and post info to the forum as it becomes available.
If you have questions, ask on the forum or email us at GeorgiaFieroClub@Gmail.Com Subject: Run For The Hills Q & A We will be conducting a scouting run on May 19th, so anybody close by that wants to participate, feel free. More info @ http://gafieroclub.org/bbs/index.php?topic=1125.0
We are looking for a great turn-out again this year and hope many of you will set the time aside for one of the longest running and best Fiero events to join us.
Thanks

Lots of photos on page 4. This was only about 1/3 of what will eventually be the complete run.

The first donations for the raffle have already arrived.
I'll take some pictures later and post them. Thank you 88_4mula!!!
We also have commitments already from TFS and Mr. Mike's!
For those of you not familiar with the concept of RFTH the way our club organizes it, we meet a day before the actual run (Friday), have dinner, talk "Nuts & Bolts", have a great time and get a good night's sleep. On Saturday we have the actual event and when all have returned to our starting point, we have dinner again and to conclude the event, we raffle of some great prizes donated by many companies and organizations you are most likely familiar with in the Fiero community. Check last year's threads to see some of the items donated and raffled off. On Sunday we all drive back home after having a blast. Of course, some participants already depart on Saturday evening, depending on the distance they need to travel.
In a nutshell - An awesome event and heaps of fun!
If you need more detailed information about the event (or anything else) send me a PM \D[This message has been edited by Donster (edited 05-28-2012).]

The next scouting runs have been scheduled for June 23 and July 7.
For the June 23 trip, as is our custom, we will meet up at the QT station in Oakwood/Gainesville. It's I-985 Exit 16 which is the Oakwood, Mundy Mill Road, Hwy. 53 exit. Be ready to pull out by 9am.
To help with your schedule planning, estimated time to get to Oakwood is approximately:
1 1/2 Hour from Douglasville 1 3/4 Hour from Newnan 1 1/4 Hour from Marietta 1 1/2 Hour from Stockbridge 1 1/4 Hour from Monroe via 81 and 53 1 1/4 Hour from Athens via 129, 85 South and 53 1 1/2 Hour from Canton via 20, 369 and 53
These are estimated times from Town Center to Town Center of the listed cities.
If you would like to meet us at another location, we'll be traveling between Toccoa and Clarkesville at about 9:30, Clayton, Ga. at about 10 and Franklin, NC at about 11. Let us know so we can adjust our schedule to hook up.
We probably will be traveling on The Dragon on this scouting trip.
Even the scouting runs are a blast!

The answer is "yes". We still advise to separate into three groups, depending upon driving skills, vehicle and how much scenery detail you want to see.
