I'm sorry, I didn't give you permission to alter my words. As such, what you've attributed to me with the quote function above are not my words. This makes you factually a liar. Just to be clear.

Who gave you the permission to post or have an opinion? No one. That's right, because permission was not needed.

What did your this post have anything to do with the OP? Nothing! Nowhere in Rogers first post did he say, or even imply that his opinion is the only one that matters. Where do you come up with this crap?!
Jim
Edit: I do see now that Roger edited his first post so maybe there was something there prior, but geez, still what does the info have to do with this being a car forum full of primarily conservative members?
Edit 2: I seperated my two seperate points since you couldn't do it on your own. Does this make you feel better Jazzman? Do you like strained carrots or spinach better? [This message has been edited by jimbolaya (edited 09-06-2011).]

Jazz, no need to be sorry, as I didn't ask for your permission to do anything , and I never will, because I don't need it. Secondly, JUST TO BE CLEAR, I was pointing out the absurdity of your original statement. If we were talking face to face, you would have seen me with a smile as I said it, and perhaps recognized my point. Thirdly, your inability to reason from carefully constructed sentences, which I make it a point to use, invalidates your calling me a liar. Lastly, this is an internet car forum for a car that has not been produced for 23 years, so why should your opinion here count for anything?

What you replied to is me stating that heyjborn's changing of my words while keeping the quote attribution to my name is lying.

It's apparently perfectly fine on this forum to use the quotes to make it look like someone said something that they in fact did not say. This is a form of lying, and since it's ok to do that here, I don't see what your problem is.

Although I think what heybjorn did was totally innocent, and Jazz's return example I found VERY extreme, I must admitt that on a literary level, Jazz has a point. Changing someones quote to make it say what you want COULD be used for not-so-innocent purpose. I have to say he has every right to insist others not do that.
They are his words. The "users" rights end with reading them. Or answering to them. But not changing them.
I know it is done quite a bit here innocently and all in good fun, but on a strictly literary level, it is probibly wrong to mess with someones words. And again, I'm quite sure that what heybjorn was doing was totally innocent & all in good fun.
P.S. To those that say I don't do it, hows THAT for an opinion and a stand. Now shut up about it. It's done. [This message has been edited by Boondawg (edited 09-06-2011).]
