Actually, my opinion IS fact.
It took 232 years to accrue 1.2 trillion dollars of debt in the United States.
That includes ALL the debt from George Bush all the way to George Washington.
Yet, Barack Obama somehow managed to TRIPLE this debt in the span of three months.
4.3 trillion dollars of debt.
It's so ridiculous and astronomical that I wouldn't blame you for one bit if you thought I was simply exaggerating, or using fuzzy logic, or making up numbers to try to "prove my point". Perhaps maybe, you don't even really realize what this means???
I suggest you find out... as many Democrats, Independants, AND Republicans are finding out... this was a very poor decision on the part of Nanci Pelosi and Barack Obama. I really suggest that you put behind you any biases or pre-conceived notions you may have about party lines, and what party is "always" right and which party is "always" wrong.... and I suggest you vote for WHICHEVER CANDIDATE that's going to actually CUT spending.

Hate to say it but you are wasting your time pointing out history to progressives since they believe that history should be rewritten as they see fit. It has always been that way since this type of stupidity showed up here from Germany. That way when they screw up they can blame who ever they want instead of themselves for not noticing that the same things have been tried before and did not work. Learning from the mistakes of the past is something these type of people just can not seem to do.

Actually, I have to wonder if it is more of a case of the liberal's arrogance at thinking that they can do the same things that failed in the past, but somehow because they are "so smart" that they will get a different result.

Unbelievable. I give you a question that you have a 100% chance of getting it right and you still get it wrong!

I almost hope that's the case. The alternative is that they know certain actions will fail and do them anyway.

It is FACT that the national debt is 4.3 trillion dollars. It's also FACT that 3 months ago, it was 1.2 trillion dollars.
FACT...

Then read it for yourself from the Whitehouse's budget. It's been published, you know.
http://www.whitehouse.gov/o.../Summary_Tables2.pdf Table S-4. Look at the bottom row.
Deficit 2008: $459 Billion 2009: $1,752 Billion (That's $1.752 Trillion, if you're not sure)
Obama's smallest budget deficit is projected to be bigger than any Bush had. That includes Obama "halving" the deficit. Yeah, he may cut HIS OWN deficit in half, but it's already 4 times what it was under Bush.
Here's a picture for you if the tables are too hard to read:
And that's the Whitehouse's own projections - so that's probably the "best case" scenario.[This message has been edited by Formula88 (edited 04-12-2009).]

Seriously? Are you that retarded???
http://online.wsj.com/artic...l?mod=googlenews_wsj Dude, you might as well just stop posting in this thread... honestly, because what you've resulted to now is someone who's so grossly immature that your simple refusal to even do you own search is downright childish.
Look, this isn't about Republicans VS Democrats, or DEmocrats VS Republicans.... this is about the fact that Obama is making a horrible decisin. If you were raised a Democrat, and you're unable to think outside of your own box that was built for you, then that's a real shame... and will probably have a significant impact on how you live your life, for the rest of your life. Maybe you're just really young... and that's ok... but just remember what's going on today... massive bailouts, and huge deficits.. you'll be paying for that in a few years.

Ad hominem attacks indicate that you have nothing left in your intellectual arsenal.
Therefore, you lose.
