it's really cold out tonight. i'm walking in to my local market, a man and woman are standing by the doors holding some sort of flyers. as i walk past them to get to the doors, a man asks, "excuse me sir, do you want to make a donation?" it's too freaking cold to stand around and listen to their speech, so i just say,"No" as i walk past them.
i only need a couple of things and know this store very well, so i'm out in less than 5 minutes.
i exit the store, and the female says, "Yo. You cant make a donation?" i keep waking and just say, "nope" without looking back. i get 10 feet away and the female says, "see that's why black people rob a *expletive deleted*" (rimes with nother trucker)
so i get home and doing some music editing and it's just eating away at me. so just because i dont feel like giving you a handout, it's now ok for you to just take it from me... GRrrrrrrr[This message has been edited by buddycraigg (edited 01-13-2008).]

I wish I had your control or was as slow as you. It would have never been so cold to keep me from going back and saying something.
..edit, that sounds bad. The first part was just in fun. I have never been able to control my temper and most of the time my mouth.[This message has been edited by Jake_Dragon (edited 01-13-2008).]

yeah people suck. next time you go to that store tell them about it. maybe if you give them an earful they will not allow them to use the store.
too bad they had to throw the "race" thing into it. when you're not racist and somebody does that it just burns my ass.

Look at it this way - Would you have preferred to have given these people money only to find out afterwards that they are the way they are (ie. a$$holes)?
You should be pleased that you didn't give these pricks anything. Seriously.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 01-13-2008).]

While I agree that a simple "no" should suffice, a single dollar would have gone a hell of a lot further.

Word. It's just as cold for those people out there hustling for a buck to survive as it is for you to run from the heated truck to the heated store. Show them some love, and maybe they won't rob the next old white lady that comes along.

No... In my opinion, your attitude sucked royal ass. Saying "no" with your back turned to the individual is VERY arrogant and disrespectful. You "shouldn't" treat people like that and when you do, this it what happens.
If you simply looked them in the face and said "I'd love to help you but I just don't have it right now." That would have said a hell of a lot more about you than what you portrayed.
Or as I stated a simple buck and a smile would have done much more.
