I was having a conversation with a woman tonight on Yahoo.. Names have been changed to protect the greedy bastards....
She is a mother of three. All within 5 years of age.. The newest born in July...
At the line I put in Bold is where I started getting angry, but held my tongue....
Some people's kids... UGH! I said I needed to head for bed, then she went onto my ignore list.
Twisted-***** : So did you vote? Synthesis: Yep. Synthesis: Not for Obama and not for McCain.. But my vote was not wasted. Twisted-***** : Who did you vote for? Synthesis: Ron Paul Twisted-***** : I votoed 3rd party also Twisted-***** : McKinney Synthesis: I figured my vote would help give him a voice in politics. Twisted-***** : yeah, I vote for who I want Twisted-***** : **** the politics Twisted-***** : and **** the electoral college Twisted-***** : lol Synthesis: That was why I voted for Ron Paul. Twisted-***** : I don't like Obama Twisted-***** : I kew he would win Twisted-***** : and prefer him to McCain Twisted-***** : so w/e Twisted-***** : Ron Paul had good ideas, but his policies seemd discriminatroy to me Twisted-***** : llike on abortion, gay marriage, envirnmental policy etc Synthesis: There were things I did not agree with on his policies... Synthesis: Same for Obama and McCain. Twisted-***** : yeah Twisted-***** : I really like McKinney Twisted-***** : and Clemente Twisted-***** : I know when a 3rd party gets 5% of the votes they get special funding like ther two dp Twisted-***** : so thats cool Synthesis: Yep.. That was my attempted goal. lol Twisted-***** : So, are you pretty conservative? Synthesis: Political terms don't apply to me. Twisted-***** : ok Synthesis: I vote for whoever I agree with. Twisted-***** : then elaborate on your positions Twisted-***** : if you want ot be all difficult Synthesis: I am pro-choice, but lean towards pro-life. Synthesis: I feel it is a woman's right to do what she will, but I would hope that she would give the baby life, and a family who wants to adopt hope. Twisted-***** : what do you mean by that? Twisted-***** : oh, okay I see Twisted-***** : so what about welfare? Synthesis: Get off your ass and work. Welfare isn't there to provide sustenance because you have decided you don't want to work. It is there to help those in a time of need. Synthesis: I feel that it should have a limited life-span for people/families, and anyone who is on it should have a case review every three months. Twisted-***** : What about people who do work Twisted-***** : and still need assistance Synthesis: Those who work, but make less than a specified amount should qualify for it assistance. Twisted-***** : what about paretns don't we have a right to stay hoe? and be compensated? Synthesis: I have been there, and been on the system. That was a long time ago. Twisted-***** : our children are a public good, they benefit society Twisted-***** : shoudln't I be able to mak a living rasigin them Twisted-***** : so they don't end up criminals Synthesis: Not all children benefit society. I base that on experience with other people's kids who have actually caused problems. Synthesis: Yes. You should be able to raise them right... Synthesis: I was raised by two working parents, and I turned out OK. Twisted-***** : yeah, but its completely against my philosophy Synthesis: There is nothing wrong with a stay at home mom... Twisted-***** : there is no way my children could be put in daycare and still raised according to my standards Synthesis: Nothing at all. Synthesis: But... Synthesis: And a big but... Twisted-***** : I actually prefer 1/2 time stay at home mom, and 1/2 time stay at home dad Synthesis: That should also include a father who is earning the money to pay the bills. Twisted-***** : why? Synthesis: I am firm in my beliefs on welfare, primarily because I get over 65% of my paycheck stolen by the state so my ex-wife can sit at home. Synthesis: The worst part is, she ISN'T raising the kids herself. They sit at her mom's house more than half the time. Twisted-***** : yeah, a lot of men are bitter about that I noticed Synthesis: Well, she was going to school for a long time, and I was fine with that... Synthesis: Then she dropped out, and decided not to work either. Synthesis: That is why I am angry. Synthesis: I am technically paying my child support to her so she can sit on her ass. She spends it on the kids, yes. But she also buys stuff like iPods, and junk. Twisted-***** : yeah, I just think that women's unpaid work is so undervalued in our society Twisted-***** : its not even considered work Synthesis: There is a huge difference in contributing to society and being unpaid, and sitting at home and being unpaid. Synthesis: I don't judge others based on their life decisions, unless it affects my life. Synthesis: If you are on public assistance, then that is your decision. Synthesis: I have no say in the matter. Twisted-***** : yeah, I will take as much as I can get from the givernment and I'm not the least bit ashamed Twisted-***** : **** em Twisted-***** : they give way more money to their irch buddies Twisted-***** : and set p a system that makes it impossible tfor me to survive on my terms Synthesis: You get medical assistance, right? Twisted-***** : so I'll take their food stamps and their medical assistance Twisted-***** : yep Twisted-***** : not that it helps me much Twisted-***** : btu i hse it

This type of mindset is common among people who have never been on their own. They have been coddled by mom, dad and a spouse their entire life. If they actually had to work they would quickly take offense at anyone wanting to "Share their wealth" with people that just decide to drop out, or in her case stay home with her babies.

This is the type of person who is expecting an Obama Check in the mail. So we should pay for her to raise her kids on her terms? I should spend my workdays away from my kids so she can spend it with hers? WTF, I though welfare reform put an end to these types of situations where she can obviously stay home all day and squeeze out more kids she can't afford on our dime.

She's definitely part of the entitled crowd. It is a common thing nowadays. Obama is going to make things worse.

This is just the beginning. They will be coming out of the woodworks now that BO will be in office. I had to discipline an employee at work one time. Their comment was this [paraphrase] I don't need to deal with this. I'll just go home and let the government pay my bills. Me: Don't you realize that money comes from you and me working, and doesn't pop out of a hole in the ground? Her: No it doesn't. That's what the government is there for, to take care of me. [/paraphrased] This was the short version, but you get the point. Good news, I don't have to deal with her anymore. Bad news, I am paying for her children.

Tell her to drop them off at work so you can give them some chores.
