What kind of seats have been swapped into fiero's? My driver's seat is pretty well trashed, and I'm tired of POS seat covers that don't last. I like Mr Mike's, but they are too $nice$ for what I want right now. I found some nice seats in a wrecked 87-93 Mustang GT, grey tweed, with full power, no rips or water damage, and was thinking about them, or 93-up Camaro/Firebird seats.

goto http://www.fieroproject.com/ and check the Interior Modifications page (in the modifications section of course)

there's a short article there about the installation of 1996 Trans Am seats in a Fiero GT. I've heard people also mention installing seats from a Geo Storm and a Pontiac Grand Am. (or was that a grand prix?)

Anyway, I hope that helps!

I've seen people actually install fiero seats in other cars more easier than getting some other make seat to fit into the space of fiero.
You'll probably be happier if you reupholster those seats. RSM has a great reupholster guy that can cater to your color and padding needs.
No the seat of a grand prix will not fit. It sits to high.

Later.

I've heard of more than one person using late model Firebird/Camaro seats. I've personally measured and eyeballed Sunbird and Cavalier seats and they look like a good fit. The Mustang seat might work, don't know for sure, they're better off in a Fiero than a Rustang. Don't know until you measure and try.

I have 95 Camaro seats in my GT. I kept the drivers side seat traks from the Camaro and the seat is a little high compared to the Fiero seat. If you use the Camaro seats and Fiero seat tracks, they fit pretty good. I am short, so having the seat up a little higher doesnt bother me.

Hopefully I'll be getting some seats from a later model Z24 Cav soon. I'll post some pics when/if I get it done. (BTW, these are the seats that Eddie H. had if anyone remembers him. I've got a pic of one of the seats if I can find it.)

Ahh...Here it is. Supposed to be the seat on the left.

Another idea...
2nd and 3rd gen Camaro & Firebird seats are a common swap.
I've also heard of people putting F-body seats in S-10s and Sonomas.
So... Possibly, S-10 and Sonoma seats will fit a Fiero, as well. Not that they are anything special, just another option.

Instead of swapping the seat and the track, unbolt the track from the old seats and see if they fit the new ones.

The original seats in my 86 trans am are the same as the seats in my moms 91 grand am. The tracks might be different but thats it.

Ideas, Ideas,
I think the 82-92 F-body seats were identical to Fiero seats, but every one I find is as bad or worse than mine. I like the 93-up F-body seats idea, especially with all the power goodies. The Mudstain seats were surprisingly in good shape, considering there was side damage to the car and the drivetrain is already ripped out. Only decent set I've found in a yard yet. What have you guys seen for prices out there?
