Does anyone know where to get headers for the 2.8/3.1 V6????????? Not those silly sprint exhausts at the Fiero Store...I'm new at computers--Thanks for any help--Steve
The only places I know of are Fiero Heaven, RSM Motorsports in Toronto, and FOCOA. You can expect to pay around 550-600$ US for a good set though. From what I've read on the forum, I'd save my money and port your factory exhaust manifolds. You get almost the same gains as with headers for a helluva lot less.

Four dollars buys a questionaire asking tech questions about the engine and mods, gear ratios, weight, driving habits, etc.
Send in the completed form along with forty bucks and Ed will send specs for headers and exaust system.
Ed sells the parts to fabricate the headers or the parts can be bought elswhere. Serious horsepower gains over stock, even low end torque.
The major drawback is fabrication. I went ahead and got the kit, it doesn't look difficult exactly, but this is one of the few times I'm glad to be anal rententive. An awful lot of measure-cut-weld, measure-cut-weld to be done.
Oh yeah, it cost $503.00 U.S. complete with dual bullet mufflers.
Plus. The instructions come with the questionaire so good headers can still be built even without Ed's forty dollar advice.

Hey Jeff.......where is Mike anyways? I haven't heard from him in a couple of weeks and he hasn't returned my e-mails. Just curious if you knew anything.
Also, I would be wary of sending FOCOA any money. They have a habit of taking a long time to fill orders. I would go there in person or go to the national show (in Virginia this year) and buy them. That way you get what you paid for with no waiting!

I instsalled a set in 1996 and they have been in use daily since. The only few things I would have done diffrently upon initail installation were 1. replaced stock muffler with flowmaster 2 1/2" one in two out same muffler used for same year camaro firebird, install larger exhaust tips 2-3" diamater 2. LOOSE the Cat or a least hollow out. 3. Maybe spent more $$ and got ceramic coating. I Have since installed flowmaster(huge undertaking! @#$%^) and lost CAT PERFORMANCE is AWESOME AT ALL RPM RANGES!!! SOUNDS like V-8. Milleage when not hammering it is actually improved. whew enough said let me know if u have any questions after that earfull. LATER oneof547 88 Formula T-TOPS

Everybody wake up- heres a place to goto www.cwestco.com for headers. I have bought those English made headers from Sprint/fierostore and they were kickass w/ x-cellent coatings...I will probably get a set from west coast for my new GT.

---------------------------- These super headers give your Fiero engine the breathing room to perform as it was designed to perform.
Horsepower increases of 5% to 10% can be experienced to quickly take you from zero to three digits speeds. On a Dyno, this represents an increase of between 7 to 15 horsepower or more, depending on engine size.
These headers will give your engine significant torque and power increases in the 1500 to 5500 rpm range. --------------
thats copied from his page...
as you can see on my dyno sheet i was sucking wind till 4000rpm then only gained 7hp and 7lbft at 5252rpm unless your running nitrous or a S/C i don't see them being worth the $.
