I'm trying to mount a fuel pressure guage on my fuel rail similar to the one that The Fiero Store offers. However, I bought mine from a local speed shop and it doesn't have the two 90* elbows that are required to mount it. So I need to come up with these two elbows.
The guage has a 1/8 NPT connection. However, I don't have any idea what size the schraeder valve is. Anyone have that info? The Fiero Store uses one fixed 90* elbow and one 90* swivel mount. And does anyone know where I can come up with these two elbows? Remember that the schraeder valve requires a "flared" connection while the guage is NPT.
Also...I took the fuel rail to a local shop that supplies the military with AN fittings and the lady there tried a #4AN fitting. She said that it was a little loose on the threads and she did not recommend using it in this(fuel) application. She had nothing else that would work either.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Blacktree,
Thanks...I found that thread about 5 mins. after I posted mine. I don't think that the threads in the fuel rail are 1/8" NPT though. Matter of fact, mine look just like the threads on the other end of the valve...just smaller in diameter. I've got a gauge here with 1/8" NPT connection coming out of the back and there is no way that it would thread into the fuel rail. Don't know what the diff. is, but something's not matching up.

I was going to post this info I just found out in the other thread but I will here:

I just got my Jegs gauge today and went to install it, but I realized the same thing: that the threads on the schrader valve are quite small. All I did was drill those threads out to 21/64 and re tapped it with 1/8" NPT. Works fine now, and I can get all the fittings I need in brass from the hardware store where I work at. I don't want to mess around with the setup the FS uses, cause those fittings are harder to find than regular NPT adapters and such.

just set up my FPG today.

The top end of the fitting on the fuel rail is a #4 fitting or 1/4" compression at the hardware store.

the bottom of the fitting is a mystery thread, i showed it to a few knowledgable people and came up with nothing.

For mine i used a 14" earls braded steel line with #4 fittings and a #4>1/8NPT fitting.
