I just drilled a small hole through the front wall by the clutch master cylinder. Ran all the wires through the hole, mounted my switch and connected the wires! Works great!

I ran the wires for the foglamps to the inside of the car without drilling any holes. Just loosened the screws on the HVAC module, slipped the wires underneath the foam gasket.

Remove the headlight switch, find the marker light wire tap into it and run a wire to the fog lamp relay turn on. You could put a switch inline there too to turn it off.

Does anyone know how to wire in driving lights so that they come on when the headlights are on bright? Is there a way to do this from the headlight switch itself, or would I have to get deeper into the wiring?

You'd have to locate and tap into the wiring between the high-beam headlight connection and the high-beam relay. Splice a wire from the hot high-beam wire to activate the relay for the driving light circuit.

I put in a pr of Katz in my 86. I mounted a little rocker switch in the headlight switch console panel. There is a Kats supplied realay for them also with the unit. I wired them to work from the parking lamp power supply so I could use them as fog lights, or with high or low beams. I put a couple of photos on my site at http://shene.killi.net/foglights.jpg

You can just tap one wire into one of the marker lites, ground the other to a screw in chassis. They will work anytime park lites are on.
You do know in most states its illegal to have fog lites on with hi beams, right? Also it defeats the purpose of fog lites, which is to shine out without reflecting back in your eyes. Now if there just to look 'cool' please make sure you aim them downward a little to keep them out of other ppls eyes.

mmmmmmmmmm good point. I think they will. tap them into the front parking lite instead. they should have 3 wires. 1 ground, 1 for signals, 1 for park. Connect one wire to the park wire, other to chassis ground. Sorry bout that.

I know it's probably not legal to have fog lights (driving spots, in this case) on with the high beams, but there's a reason... I live in an area with too many sucidal deer. I want extra lighting to help illuminate the road and ditches. Scott

To have them on with parking lamps yet have an option to have them on or off with headlights is the reason I put in a second switch. The switch is operable with parking lights as wel as headlights, but can be turned on or off. Switch fits nicely next to the dimmer. Nice little lighted rocker so it is easy to see status.

If you wire into your parking lights be sure you have a relay! i wired mine at first into the parking lights so whenever i did my alarm the parking/fog lights would flash because my foglights did not come w/ a relay....so i added one and now it does not draw hardly any amps from the parking lights and the foglights are at least twice as bright.
