Has anyone out there had any luck painting the instrument panel, radio,a/c, & console face plates ? I would like to paint them black. If so what paint ?

I used the same Mar-Hyde satin black that I use for exterior trim. It looked OK on the radio and shifter plates. I didn't like it on the instrument surround; it did not provide enough contrast with black instrument faces. It might look OK if you have white faces.

I painted mine black. Make sure you use low gloss or flat so it dont reflect in windshield. Use any of the vinyl or flexible bumper paints. CLEANLINESS is the biggest thing, you have to get any wax, armorall, etc off. use brush like a toothbrush or terry cloth to get down into the cracks. Lisa did hers too, pics in her web site.

I used a met. black on Jaygee79's that came out sweet looking. The Metallic flake in the paint made it stand out good.
