Owen,
Welcome to the forum!!! This is a GREAT place!!
As far as the scoop is concerned.. I did the Number 2... I also installed my scoop waaaaay' toward's the rear of the car.. I have some of the trunk cut out for the exhaust.... So the scoop also releases heat from the trunk area too...
I did'nt 'bolt' mine down... I used some adhes. and glassed it on!!!
You can kinda see the scoop here on this pic some.. Sorry it sooo big... Since that picture was taken.. I have added the Double sidescoop's and shaved the door handles.. ohh and redid the front fender's somewhat...lol

Hey Fierowen, looking at your website, I'd go with number three. I'm not sure where the holes would end up, I had mine glassed on, but towards the rear window. If water drips in, it harmlessly goes in between the motor and trunk wall, no problems in almost three years.
Mine is on a notchback, so you won't have to cut out the scoop, but here's a pic of what yours will look like,

My next project is to use these decklid mirrors, the top one will be permanently installed, while the mirror over the scoop will be removeable.

Good luck and start cutting!!!

Well, Looking at the picture choices... Mine is NOT like any of them.... I have part of the V shape toward's the rear of the decklid... That V is over the trunk(which is gone) due to exhaust modification's.

Steve- That's why he stated that the bottom/forward mirror would need to be removable (install for shows/remove for driving). That's exactly how I was planning on installing mine as well!
