im looking to do a 3800 swap and need to know what cars came with a 3800 series 2 supercharged engine? which car is the best to use the engine out of? what all do i need from the car? so far my list is a buick regal. and i need the wiring harness, computer system, engine block, engine mounts, all the mounts for the starters and stuff, and a wcf flywheel. lmk what else i need.
oh ya its all going in a 84 fiero se with the stock 4 speed manual from the fiero. im hoping to put a 85 or newer cradle in it if i can find one.

Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
Buick Riveria
Buick Regal
Buick LeSabre
Buick Park Avenue

I think that's it but I'm not positive.

So if a guy wants to do a swap in an 84, it's just as easy to go the 3800 SC route as the 2.8 since everthing has to be changed anyway in either swap?? I don't mean to say it's easy, just no more difficult than doing a 2.8?

I dont know as i never have looked into the 2.8 swap. but you have to change the fuel delivery system to a high pressure system no matter which v6 you put in and it didnt sound too hard to stick a 3800 in

To be sure everything's clear....

96 and newer

Buick Regal GS
Park Ave ULTRA
Grand Prix GTP
Bonny SSEI

Notice the specific body styles of the listed cars....only the GTP's, GS's, SSEI's, and ULTRA's had the supercharged version. The Riviera and Lesabre I'm unsure about....you did ask about the SUPERCHARGED engine, right?

Later,
Ryan

I think all Rivieras were supercharged but I'm not positive, it was probably optional on the Lesabre

Actually the L67 (Engine Gas, 6 Cyl, 3.8L, MFI, V6, Supercharged) was an option on the Riv's and was never offered in the LeSabre even though both the LeSabre and the Bonneville are both H platform cars.
