3M adhesive remover works, I think its the xylene in it. ECP amkes an adhesive remover also, but it doesn't work near as well.

NOT CRC brake parts cleaner. It attacks polycarbonates like Lexan.

The dealer is 100% at fault if they used such tapes. Make THEM clean it off and pay for any damage! Only a complete retard would have used Duct Tape in such a situ. The car should have been covered in an apropriate plastic or other material to protect it.

Use 3M wax & grease remover. drop by you're body shop at the dealer they will have it!
Soak a small rag and hold it on the residue for a few minutes and wipe it off
It will not hurt the paint or window!

You should use nothing which is of a petroleum base on the plexi or lexan sail panel windows. Solvent has less effect on the lexan than the plexi. It seems that the original windows were plexi and the GM replacements are lexan. This is based on the fact that I just replaced one of mine with a GM window. The one I broke out was plexiglas and the one I installed was lexan. The solvent will cause those fine little hairline cracks you see in many of the windows.

After I searched for all kinds of information about removing the adhesive from the car, and finally got the window installed, my daughter gave me a list of helpful household hints. "To remove adhesives from non-pourous surfaces, use peanut butter." Another snippit suggested using peanut butter to polish plastics. I haven't tried, but it certainly wouldn't hurt the plastic. Unless you use "crunchy".
