Wondering if it would be easier to finish the vent with the hood on the car? I am about to start grinding/sanding/pulling my hair out/etc, so should I put the hood on the car to finish it? Seems like I could eyeball it better that way, so what have you guys done? BTW I'm posting this in tech and general, hope no one minds.

I finished mine on the car. I had to do that so I would know where to cut the wall behind the radiator. It looks like you are also going to have to cut the wall some.
