Hi all.

I am installing a remote-keyless system in my car and am having difficulty locating the power door lock wiring. I can follow it from the door to the kick panel on the driver's side floor but the wire bundle seems to go up and over the dash where I don't have access to it.

Does anyone have experience with this? Where is the most convenient location to wire into the door locks?

Thank you,
Larry S.

Buddy,

The switch for the power door locks is in the door itself. The only switches located in the console that I am aware of are the power mirror and power window switches. That applies to all years.

Did you mistake my question about power door locks for power windows? I am trying to solve a problem for power door locks. I have a wiring diagram from Alldata that shows relays in the ciruit.

The relay box is located up under the dash by the passenger footwell on the verticle fender wall

Try the Michigan Fiero Club web site for a write up on installing keyless...I used it to install mine and sure made it easy...

Thanks for all the replies. Yep, I found the site on installing keyless. I can't believe how easy it was to get to those relays.

It's hooked up now but my battery is too weak to actuate the locks without the car running! I guess it's time for a new battery.

Thanks all,
Larry S.
