I've been looking at websites about widebody kits for the 2nd gen MR2.
Besides the roof height and width the two cars are very close in wheelbase and overall length.
With enough mods, do you think it would be possible?

I wouldnt make my fiero look like an MR2. Why not try to find a IMSA kit for the Fiero.

Anyway its all about tastes.

The IRM wide body kits should be available in the next 6 months or so, one or two may be available in the next couple months, thats about all i can say about IRM right now, but the new owner is planing on producing all the stuff irm made. but the movement of the company will take him a month or two as IRM was a huge warehouse type building it would take 2-3 tractor trailor trips to haul it all.

That blue car is a dutch one.....they "borrowed" that picture!

everything can be made to fit, currently I'm making new bodypanels for my fiero, using honda/mustang/Bmw and altezza parts and a lot of selfconstructed parts but it is a lot of work to make it 1. fit 2. look good. Especially 2. is important to me because I want everything to "look right"

There are some kits out there that I think are more or less tasteless so you have to decide really to your own taste.....

IMO no one makes a good widebody kit for the Fiero( They look like they just slaped some parts on as an afterthought.

What company is building the IRM widebody kit and will they be making the kit for the fastback? All the kits I've seen are for the notchback.

[Thread Pirating]

Fie Ro what is the deal with the Eddie Snaauws dash on your website. Is it done? Are there plans to sell it as a kit? Or instructions on how to make my own? I am also going to PM you in case you don't check back on this thread.

Eddy is out of the fieroscene, he sold his car (with the first dash). I saw the car again for sale not too long ago.

The dutch "FieroInnovation" company got hold of one other unfinished dash and they pirated it. I know of one other car that has this dash now ( in the netherlands) but this company says it is too much work to build it in the car so they dont want to do that again......but thats what they say (they like to BS)

Eddy still had the original "mother"-molds some time ago. I went to have a look but at that time I decided I didn't had the time and expertease to buy and work on the molds, certainly no production plans.....nowadays I'm getting more and more into fiberglassing so when the exterior is ready I will look into a new dash too. But maybe he threw the molds away already (which is likely!)
I haven't spoken to him for a long while.....

he sold one dash to Scott Tilden in the US. I read some people wanted to get hold of him because this dash is in his car and there were no plans of selling it as a kit or duplicating it.

So the future isn't too bright
but there are at least 3 finished dashes around so the design is still around somewhere...

I really should mail Eddy about the original molds because there's still some interest in his dash...or not?!

I'd love to see someone either recreate this dash, or (preferably) locate the molds!
