my friend just got an 85 mr6 and we had it runnung real good ever since he got it (yesterday and last night) he parked it and tried to start it today but no go... so all we could find is that there is no spark, the plugs are not getting wet and the BAT WDO fuse is shorted out...it blows while trying to put a new one in w/ everything turned off. any ideas would really be helpful . ps it did come with a chilton or haynes or something like that; but, it was not very helpful and this thing is a world away from our datsun Z's!

My guess would be that it's the battery fuse. It's possible you have a bad ground or a short in the battery connections somewhere, which may be why the fuse blows when you put it in. Check for anything that should have constant power when the car is off, like dome lights, brake lights, parking and head lights. You may be able to find the short through a process of elimination.

Cool. You're in La Crosse.

WDO is power windows. It's a circuit breaker next to the BAT fuse.

The BAT fuse powers the cigarette lighter, radio (memory), courtesy lights and the horn relay. Plus anything else a previous owner tapped into it for power.

Shouldn't make it not start though...
