I know about the VIN on the metal plate driver side windshield, but is there any other's on the frame, engine, tranny etc? i think my cars been messed with but im not sure, want to check ALL the VIN's i can, thanks for all help
I believe you can also find a VIN number on the decal in the door as well as on the RPO list on the front drivers side fender though I'm not 100% sure on the RPO list. I know I've taken most of my dash apart and have found various stickers with the VIN and date codes printed on them, mostly in the guage cluster though most have been so deteriorated that the glue has broken down and I've found what remains of the stickers in the plastic trim piece that covers the bottom of the guage cluster and steering column.
Edit; As far as I know there isn't any way to determine if the engine and transaxle have been altered as I don't believe the serial numbers on either of those correspond with the VIN.

If you take the whole dash out, there is another metal tag to the left of the steering column on the crossmember that the column is bolted to (tag is just above and in front of my left knee). It is on the top of the crossmemeber. It has the VIN and some other crap too.

Actually, just take the drivers side dash speaker out, you can see the VIN plate through the speaker hole.
All Fieros have the last few digits of the VIN number stamped on the transmission and the engine, usually back at the edge of the block where the tranny bolts on, above the starter. There is a metal plate attached to the metal substructure under the dash, removing the driver's side speaker should gain access to that. The door sticker with tire info on the driver's side door will have the complete VIN on it. As stated earlier, 87-88 Fieros have VIN stickers on all the major body panels as well as the aforemention locations. The RPO decal on the left front wheel well will have the VIN on it also.
